Borgo Scopeto Relais is surrounded by a very romantic hills-countryside and it is the perfect match of luxury and countryside vibes.
The road to get there is through rolling hills and vineyards and the first impression that I had it’s of an untouched area, away from the massive tourism.
The classical cypress line is there to welcome your arrival in these little piece of paradise.
This is the place where to cut out all of your worries and to let Borgo Scopeto team spoil you 24/7.
“Borgo” is an italian word which stands for “tiny village” or generally it gives the idea of a few houses gathered on a nice area. In the past the Borgos would born around a main construction (like a castle) to host all the people necessary to the owners’s good living. The main building belongs to the XII century and in 1997 Elisabetta Gnudi restored it and created the Relais as you see it nowadays. It took 5 years to finish the restoration and Elisabetta in person took care of all the details, especially the accurately selected design items.
The rooms are in full harmony with their ancient origins, together with a more contemporary and international look.
The Relais offers a complete experience and provides several extra-services to let you get the most out of your Tuscan days.
There is a free tennis court, the gym and 2 swimming pools( a main one with bar service and a more private on the back of the Borgo).
The Relais Restaurants is just amazing. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and we ate the most delicious lamb ever. We loved the main courses of the evening and the atmosphere is also very refined and peaceful. Borgo Scopeto produces its own Wine Collection perfectly matching their delicious cuisine.
When we were there we had rainy days and we couldn’t enjoy the outside view of the Restaurant, but it is the best along the regular summer days. On the other hand, while we had that bad weather, it turned out the perfect day for visiting Borgo Scopeto Spa. Sauna, emotional showers and a variety of massages to choose while outside is cold and rainy: that was exactly what we needed.
Also if you want to visit around you can rent there a real Vespa! The natural environment is really romantic and Siena is only a 30 minutes drive away.
Another 2 good experiences to do are go-kart drive (15 minutes away) or the pic-nic basket which you can book and bring around the countryside.
You can book your stay in Borgo Scopeto Relais at their Official Web site, or find it also on Booking.
Prices per night in high season are from €200 to €500.

Peacefull observer of sunrise and lands waking up. Counting the grapes in the vineyards; saying hi to the animals running down below, having sneak peak in farms and villa like only a bird would do.
All this is Tuscany from a hot-air balloon. The very best way to overlook this amazing land!

An accurate description of my latest choices regarding Florence's Typical Restaurants!
In summer 2019 I discovered Trattoria Il Trebbio and Osteria Belle Donne a few steps away from Florence main train station in full city center.

A short tale of my first dinner in the oldest restaurant in Florence: Ristorante Paoli.
The place is opened since 1827 and it belongs to Florence's history, witnessed by the famous Book of the Guests where all costumers of 2 centuries left their reviews.
Right into the historical city center and with a high quality and typical Florentine cuisine. Don't miss the chance to have dinner at Paoli's when in Florence!
